Laughably bad. Is this the best OUP can do? Hardly any primary sources are cited, so most of the "argument" is filtered thru second or third hand. The author is not an historian, and it shows. He drifts from following secondary source to secondary source. He may not even know what a primary source is, or be able to read any of them. Sad!
